I figured it out and am posting the solution in case anyone else runs into the same problem. I'm not posting screen shots because they are likely to disappear at some point and I can describe the situation well enough now. When I put in the CD, Finder opens a new window labeled Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, with a large camera icon at the top left. Clicking or double clicking on that does nothing. There are also smaller icons below the large one, and I think double clicking on the first one, also labeled Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, got me to the Setup.app file, but cannot duplicate it because it's now installed. But, for sure, you can get to the required Setup.app by choosing the CD in the finder, and then going to Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 folder/Setup.app. Double clicking on Setup.app does the installation, but that is far from just "follow the on screen instructions." While it worked, I was a bit worried about choosing a Setup app that was not in the root directory of the CD and am not sure why Adobe sets it up this way. Hoping this helps someone else. Martin
