From: Mike O'Brien on 5 Dec 2005 11:12 Having problems trying to install RealPlayer (http://www.realnetworks.com/industries/serviceproviders/mobile/products/pla yer/ppc/ via AS.41. When it gets to the point of installing it stops--stating "You must install Active Sync 3.1 to install this program." Tried it several time with same result(don't they call that insanity?) Any ideas or other programs that play streaming Real Player? Thanks. Regards, Mike O'Brien life is full of choices; choices have consequences
From: Chance Hopkins on 5 Dec 2005 13:35 Have you contacted RealPlayer? Someone here may have a work around (you could revert to 3.x [I recall RP installed under that] then upgrade again to 4.1) but the end problem lies with the RP install. From: Bernd on 5 Dec 2005 15:31 Hi Mike, you may try to copy the cab file, while running the setup exe (means that you don't hit return when the error msg pops up). On my system, the setup files are extracted to C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp\~rnsetup In this folder, look for realplayer.cab Copy this file to your PPC and open it on the PPC directly. Disclaimer: Use this at your own risk. You got a backup of your PPC files, right? Greetings, Bernd.
