From: 83Dons on 16 Jun 2008 08:41 Hi I am trying to get authorware web player added to an institution desktop build but they are having problems. They say: "Because Adobe have changed the way you can download the software Authorware player 7, desktop support cannot physically install this on the PC it now will only install as you go to use the application. But what happesn when our students login it will need to be installed everytime as our profiles are deleted every night." I dont really understand this, how should they be installing the web player?

Have them add the player to the base profile.
From: 83Dons on 16 Jun 2008 10:46 Hi thanks but how would they do that? Would they install the player on a standalone machine then copy the files from the Documents and Settings > [username] > Application Data > Macromedia > Authorware Web Player folder into a similar path in [All Users] folder? Thanks in advance

The player itself gets installed into the Windows folder, and then the supporting files go into the path you mention. Look here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19348#first (Web player runtime files) for info on how to point it to the All Users directory. HTH; Amy
