Journal Freezes
in [Tablet PC]

From: Ed on 11 Jan 2008 00:19 I am using Window Vista TabletPc on a Lenovo X61 TabletPC. While using Journal the screen freezes when I go to save a file. The only way I can recover from this is to remove the battery from the Tablet and reboot. Anyone having a similar experience or a solution. I should note this happens when the tablet is in the form of a slate. I never have a freeze up when using the tablet in the traditional notebook form.

Journal is an older Tablet app, but it's also simpler than most Tablet apps. The few times I have used Journal recently I have had no problem. --
From: Phil Homier Phil on 26 Jan 2008 01:31 I have an X61 also and Journal freezes on me every now and then , but I haven't sorted out any particular time that it is prone to happen. It seems almost random. The flash card program through the experience pack also has a tendency to freeze on me. The only thing I notice about when the Flash Card program freezes is that I am generally working with more than 25 cards. Like Journal, sometimes it will run without a hitch for hours, and other times maybe only 15 minutes or so. Very frustrating. From: Wehnsdaefflae on 1 Feb 2008 18:15 I got the same problem. Journal freezes almost every time a document is saved and above a certain size. The autosave seems to be working properly because I don't even take note of it. Restoring only works from time to time. For example just now I lost 4 hours of work because saving didn't complete even after 30 minutes. Restarting and trying to restore also froze the system. I am using Vista Business on a HP TC4400. Journal worked great under XP Tablet. I'd be glad to offer more information for the usability of my tablet greatly depends on Journal...
