From: Calab on 9 Apr 2008 13:29 Most of my equipment runs at 1gbit/sec and can support jumbo frames. I do have a laptop that only does 100mbit/sec, as does my internet cable modem. If I change my gigabit PC's to use jumbo frames what will happen to the connection to my laptop or cable modem? Thx!

That includes the OS Drivers/software, as well. So, if your laptop can't handle Jumbo Packets or gigabit speeds the connection to that laptop will be set to the highest standard speed that it can handle. The same for your cable modem, that could be at 10Mbps, by the way. Luck; Ken
