My "K" Key broke on my HP DV1050, what should I expect to pay for this
one key? The spring holder system on the board seems ok. I found a new
one on the web for $7 not including shipping but I think I can beat
that. Do local compter servicing shops keep things like keys? Thanks!

Apparently you have, but I wouldn't expect to even find ONE key for sale.
Unless you like THAT one can buy a whole 'nother kb for cheap money. Any
used computer stores near you rather than a "service shop" ? How about
taking some other - never used key (~) off another part of the keyboard -
and putting it on there ( K) for now ? Buying one key online - odds are
they wouldn't exactly match your shape/color etc.

Connectland PS2 keyboard, 108 Keys, Black/Silver Color $4.98 + shipping
Ebay item # =260227362609

New keyboards are hardly expensive.

Actually, there _is_ someone - somewhere, advertising individual keytops
for sale. Can't remember now ... a bit of judicious googling might find
it ...

Where have you been M.I.5? Laptop keyboards are often 100 bucks from
the manufacture. That is about 50 pounds. This laptop I am using now
only cost $499 after rebate. So one keyboard costs about 20% of the
total cost of the laptop. On eBay they can be found for about 30 bucks
or 15 pounds for many models.
