Guys 'n' Gals,

A month or so ago I tried to plug my SE K750i into my PC (XP SP2) to
download some photos. The phone said it was being charged but the PC
seems to have no inkling that it's connected. I can't force it to pick
it up when it can't see anything there at all. I've not been able to
connect it to the PC since.

Can anyone suggest what might (not) be happening?

Thanks,

the USB cables data conductors/contacts are faulty

the phone connector strip is faulty

clean the connectors with a fibre pencil

my wife's 750 has to be persuading into making contact............takes
about 5 minutes of pushing/wobbling etc.

Have oyu installed Sonyericsson PC Suite/drivers?

Are you selecting "phone mode" or "file transfer mode" when plugging in?

God knows - it was ages ago. I think so as I've managed to get photos
off the camera and synchronise the contacts with WAB before.

I'm not selecting anything - and I don't recall ever having selected
anything like that before.

I'm beginning to suspect the PC is playing up. I have a couple of
permanently connected USB devices that work OK but I can't get anything
"temporary" to pick up. I knew about the phone; I've just tried my
satnav without success so I tried a boring memory card reader. Neither
picked up and all three had been bomb-proof until a month or so ago.

Sugar.
