If the app used to start up maximized and suddenly began to start up un-maximized then it means that it is possible to store that info through some other method. So, can anyone help? Rui Maciel

Applications can store window position and size for themselves and advise the window manager at startup to restore these values. The KDE window manager follows this advise, others may not. To force maximized windows for any application, create a generic rule matching no specific window under ``kcmshell kwinrules``. -- Freedom is always the freedom of dissenters. (Rosa Luxemburg)

I find, under KDE-4.0.5 (Fedora-9) that the window size of konsole (and other applications) appears to be fairly random. I want the window to be full-size, which it usually but not always is.

We're on a different level: I'm still using KDE 3. KDE 4 is still under active development, probably some things are not yet implemented. I never really understood, why fedora includes only KDE 4, imho against any reason. Sorry, but regarding KDE 4 I can't help you. -- Freedom is always the freedom of dissenters. (Rosa Luxemburg) |
