From: Chris on 18 Feb 2007 15:24 Installed XP2 onto new seagate 320GB sata 300 HDD, did not install raid drivers when prompted but XP went ahead and started with no problems. The question is this, with 6 SATA ports on board I do not need to configure a raid array. It appears that in the device manager it sees the drive as an IDE drive, therefore will the drive operate at Sata 300 rate or default to ATA rate. Hope this makes sense, I`m new to this -- Chris ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chris's Profile: http://www.futurehardware.in/member.php?userid=881 View this thread: http://www.futurehardware.in/showthread.php?t=572764 Future Hardware - http://www.futurehardware.in
