From: Salgud on 19 Jun 2008 20:21 Trying to get a password from Keychain, and it's now asking for a "Login keychain password". I have no idea what that would be! Of course, there's no "Cancel" button, so I have to either select "Always allow", "Deny", or "Allow". I have no idea what I'd be allowing or denying. I tried clicking on the "Details" button, but it just wants me to make more decisions I have no clue as to what I'm being asked. Finally, in desperation, I clicked on the Help question mark icon. Help is on the way! Nope. It flashes for a second, and a blank window, titled "Untitled", appears for a second, then goes away! Hmmmmm. What does this all remind me of? Some of my least favorite things about Windoze, especially Windoze help! Which is also never there when you most need it. That much the 2 OSs have in common! Can someone tell me what to do with this dialog? I'm going to leave it alone until I have a clue as to what I'm doing here. Oh yes, I also looked it up under the Keychain section of "Switching to the Mac", but it is a very brief section, no help there either. Just not my day!

Typically it's the same as your user account password. -- Please send all responses to the relevant news group rather than directly to me, as E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM filter. If you have changed your user account password, the keychain will still use the old password - and ask you to enter it - until you explicitly change it (using the Keychain Access program). -- http://www.decohen.com Send e-mail to the Reply-To address; mail to the From address is never read |
