I don't think so, if proud Android phone users found out that their
phones OS was based on something written by a bunch of tofu eating
software writing obsessed amateur nerds, instead of something written by
overpaid professionals, they'd never be able to trust their phones again.

Maybe that's that should be the basis of Apples next campaign?

That would make Apple look very stupid.

1) Much of Linux was written by paid professionals. Many sponsored in one
way or another to do so.

2) Apple's own code is heavily based on freeBSD and netBSD.
