It just occurred to me that most contributors here are those that largely support bands (even the church jobs). I don't recall ever seeing a contribution from theatre engineers (i.e. those that support musical theatre and the like on long residential runs). "Beefing up" a vocalist
Our drummer wants to do lead vocals on a song. Unfortunately, his voice comes through kinda thin and nasally. I have played with eq on his mic channel as much as I can, but he still sounds mighty thin. I was wondering if a tube-based mic preamp might improve the sound? It would have to be inexpensive.
