hiring personnel

Now, to the power amp
It's an old Peavey CS800S. I've always just turned the two volume knobs up to where I thought the volume seemed okay. But, all those numbers must have a purpose. Phil, I realize this is a pretty broad question, but what would cause a single amp channel to clip symmetrically even at very low levels only under load.
