From: J on 14 Feb 2006 09:19 I'm looking for an exotic (pan?) flute sound... like those effects you hear during Survivor. I'm also looking for a good military snare drum soundfont. It doesn't have to have the rolls, I can program those if I need to... but none of my snares sound tight or bright enough to fit the role. Thanks!

From: Matt Koskenmaki on 14 Feb 2006 12:20 Well since you mentioned Survivor (I write a lot of the music for the show)... we've extensively sampled dozens and dozens of exotic flutes, including pan flutes, but the one stock sound we use all the time is the Pan Pipes from the "World Winds" library (http://www.ilio.com/ilio/worldwinds/index.html). There's a ton of good flutes in there. We tend to drown them in delay...
