From: Tony on 27 Mar 2008 13:33 Help! I forgot the password for my Ipaq 2490 model, i'd try everything possible to brig it back without any success. Does anyone knows how? please let me know Thanks Tony
From: Dave Field on 7 Apr 2008 11:49 Hi Tony, WM 6.0 includes a new feature that enables an admin or the user (through Outlook Web Access) to re-enroll the DLock PIN/password in the case that they forget their password. However, given that your iPaq 2490 is WM 5.0, it does not include this feature. On WM 5.0, you can control dlock settings through the registry or through Configuration XML. However, you cannot actually change the dlock password until you enter the old one first. Looks like your only workable solution is to cold boot the device. From: Sven on 8 Apr 2008 12:55 Wouldn't be much of a password if you could post on a newsgroup and get the instructions on how to circumvent it, now would it? Write it down next time and put it somewhere you won't forget where that is. -- Sven MVP Mobile Devices "Dave Field" <dfield(a)enterprisemobile.com> wrote in message news:4A833230-D0C7-448B-B0E0-9920778F3BA6(a)microsoft.com... > Hi Tony, > WM 6.0 includes a new feature that enables an admin or the user (through > Outlook Web Access) to re-enroll the DLock PIN/password in the case that > they forget their password.
