Spent some more time on the problem tonight, and got it fixed.

What seems to have happened is that the "Location" setting of that
machine got clobbered. Blowing away that one and creating a new one
exactly like it solved the problem.

No idea how that happened; the machine has a fixed IP (Assigned by the
local DHCP server), and had only one Location set up anyhow.

Yep, that can happen on occasion. redoing the whole Location, rewrites
the Perfs and your back in business.....

I've seen this happen as well, while adding and subtracting "Services"
from multiple locations. At one point I had Mac OS X *thoroughly*
confused - so much so that my only recourse was to nuke them all and
start over from scratch! Apple definitely needs to work on this code.
