I have Sonar 4 and now that I finally have the time to learn how to use
it, I'm running into slight problems with the MIDI recording function.
I have a Roland S88 Fantom plugged to my computer (Windows) with a
Midisport adaptor and I followed all the directions on the Recording
MIDI tutorial, but for some reason, after I arm the track, I can't seem
to press the record button. I have my inputs selected, and everything
seems to be set exactly like it's supposed to be, but there seems to be
a missing step somewhere that the tutorial never states. Can anyone
please help a poor Sonar noobie with this little problem? ^-^ I would
really appreciate any help you guys can offer. Thanks! =)

What do you mean you can't press the record button? Do you mean it is grayed
out? Did you try starting the recording by pressing the R key on your
keyboard?

Make sure your midi sync is set to "internal". It sounds like it might be
set for MIDI sync, which waits for an external source to start. Which would
expain not being able to "not press the record button".

Just a thought.
