From: James Bauer on 12 May 2008 23:16 I have a very old version of MS Excel (5.0c) which I have been using and saving files with for the past fifteen years or so. I am considering purchasing MS Office 2007. Will it be able to open and deal with files from Version 5.0 without any loss of data? Also, does Office 2007 include a feature which would take WordPerfect files and convert them into Word format? Thank you.

Excel 2007 only lists Excel 4 as a specific file type so presumably Excel 5 is covered under the "All Excel Files" heading > > Also, does Office 2007 include a feature which would take WordPerfect > files > and convert them into Word format? Not as such, but Word 2007 will certainly open WP 5 and 6 files and then save-as Word 2007 format...
