MSWord 2004 :Spell Checker will NOT work grrrrrrrrrr

From: Howard on 17 Jul 2008 11:05 iMac (6 months old) MSWord2004 Several hours of scouring Google etc for solutions. Nothing works. I have check ALL of the settings. I have tried replacing the "normal" template. I have reset and reset the tools/language to UK. But every single time I call up a new document and start typing, it fails to identify the language and won't spell check. Of course if I select the typing I do and tools/language it to UK, the spelling starts working ... but not for the next document. Can anyone help ? Strange thing is that when I open many prior older documents, their spelling is working fine. PS: Same problem in my colleagues iMac. -- Howard
