Hi, I have a desktop with mandriva 2006 and everytime kde starts the kmixer is muted. When I unmute it and logoff the next time kde starts the kmixer is muted again. How can I fix his ? ... 26 May 2007 20:59

Soundcard SB16 not recognised
Hi, Mandriva 2007 Powerpack. For a dual soundcard config I need to use an old SB16 (ISA PNP) card in addition to a PCI sound card. I can see the SB card being detected in /var/log/messages , but no driver is loaded. If I modprobe snd-sb16 it shows up in Alsa, but harddrake2 still doesn't show it. xCHM error message
When I start xCHM, I get "Failed to display HTML document in ISO-8859-1 encoding". Googling for this error points to some Chinese pages which I don't understand.
