how to remove a soft link created on the same directory Hi I created a soft link to the directory in the following manner: cd /home/user_abc/ ln -s /home/user_abc/dir dir So now this is case of recursive symlinks. How can I get rid of this case. If issue 'rmdir dir' ,surely it will delete the directory. is there any way just to break the symlink. Tx Vaibhav ... 25 May 2007 11:07

SOLVED - Slow tape access with TAR on a Proliant D140G2 + USB DAT72 drive Hi all, Just in case, I solved a problem with tar being slooooooow reading any tape on a HP Proliant 140 G2 with an external USB DAT72 tape drive. According to "lsusb -v", my tape drive was using 512 bytes packet size max. I just had to add the "-b 1" option to tar. Transfer rate went from 100kB/s to 1,5MB/s... 23 May 2007 11:10

Mandriva One 2007.1 Boot CD Hi, I'm looking for some help here. I have just downloaded Mandriva One 2007.1, burned to CD and rebooted machine.
