Hello to one and all.
I am looking for a good resource for RPM files for Mandriva 2006. I
already am using easy urpmi, but it doesn't have everything that I need
sometimes or has an outdated version of something, I.E. firefox.

Also, when I go to easyurpmi.zarb.org under the heading "Core
Distribution" and "Other Sources" there are drop down menus that list
multiple sites. Not to ask a dumb question, but are these different
sites with different available packages or are they all mirrors of the
same packages?

Cheers!

What you're already doing is the standard thing to do. What do you mean
by outdated? Frequently a program itself will have a newer version than
what's provided by the distribution or its contributors. Other places
you can go are sourceforge.net, freshmeat.net & google, which will help
you find the developer site for each thing you want. Or, you could wait
until newer versions are available. If you want Mandriva to add a newer
version, then join Mandriva's club and vote for the newer version.

They're supposed to be mirrors.

G'luck...

Hi,

You can take a look at http://seerofsouls.com/
There you can find newer packages for KDE, Gnome, Xchat, Xfce, E17, Gimp,
Firefox and much more.
You can also download Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/

All mirrors should have the same packages. Just select the fastest.
