From: VIVEKMANE on 7 May 2008 01:06 I am trying to map the network drive to my local pc, but while mapping the drive error shows "Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network is not present or not started" (Working on Domain) From server we have given all the access to the user / computer.

Also, your computer should be joined to the domain, and you should be logging into the domain using a valid domain account that has permissions to access the share (both share permissions & NTFS). If this isn't the case, let us know - and also whether any other user is having the problem.
From: Jack (MVP-Networking). on 7 May 2008 14:05 Hi Mapping a dive is possible only if the drive/folder is shared correctly. Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
