Al the better solution is a switched mic, as the users will understand how
to use it
if its for simple applications for 20$ a cad 22a will be fine

Is this for a harmonica mic or something like that? Unitl I got the harp
player trained to plug into his guitar amp I used a A/B footswitch which
then went to an active DI box.

So it was stomp on then stomp off when he remembered to do it.

I have a couple of EV PL-80 vocal mics (from the '70's) that I am
using and they don't have on/off switches.
