Hi, I just asked an Adobe engineer about Director and its multi-touch ability. In its current form, Director is unable to detect multiple events simultaneously. regards Dean Director Lecturer / Consultant / Director Enthusiast http://www.deansdirectortutorials.com/ http://www.multimediacreative.com.au email: d.utian(a)unsw.edu.au
From: mikem75 on 17 Jul 2008 23:06 Seems to me I read somewhere that the issue is really operating system related as well. I don't think Windows is natively capable of handling more than one mouse event. I had looked into that a while back. The larger issue is with the touchscreens themselves and their ability to accept multitouch. I have not been able to find a manufacturer which makes a multitouch monitor. I'd love to know if anyone has found one though! Did I read that Apple was patenting multi-touch ... or trying to? MikeM
