I'm unable to add specific music to an iPhoto slideshow.

In the pre-iPhoto 08 era, I believe I was able to select several
selections from the iTunes album, by shift/selecting, so that, for
example, the music at the beginning of the slideshow would start at cut
7 and continue on to the end of the album, or whenever the slideshow
ended.

Selecting multiple cuts (e.g. 7-12), results in cut 12 (!) playing and
re-playing. Selecting just cut 7 results in that cut playing and
replaying.

I've also tried control/click, option/click, and command/click, but
nothing works.

Is this a bug, and if so, how and where to I report it?

I can't recall for sure, but I thought it's always been a case of
selecting any individual track or a playlist. In any case, just set up
a playlist with the tracks you want; that will definitely work.
