From: AlexB on 26 Nov 2005 09:39 I have a Mustek parallel port scanner MFS-12000SP. My system is running SuSE 9.2... anyone know how I can get this thing working on my system? I've tried xsane and it cannot find the scanner. -Alex

As root, what does SANE_DEBUG_MUSTEK=3 scanimage -h -d mustek >/dev/null tell you?

Failing that, again as root, try "sane-find-scanner -p".

I love this scanner but can't get it to work with linux. I finally broke down a few years ago and bought a linux campatible scanner. Whoa! I can't believe all those years I wasted futzing with that MicroTek when I could of been scanning. Now I still visit Sane's parallel port page, and google that old scanner. But now I do it for fun while I'm scanning on my linux campatible scanner. Good luck with your Mustex Dennis |
