Hello All!

I note that m.p.excel.misc disappeared this morning from
msnews.microsoft.com. It seems to be alive and well on eternal-september
but I restored it to msnews just now and it seems to be receiving the
same posts. What's going on?

Hi,

Could be something to do with this

http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.excel.misc&mid=0f758faa-1f3d-428e-8863-4f5f7285226f&sloc=en-us

When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that
introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the
question.

While I am aware that MS, as they say, is "transitioning" (horrible
word) to forums, I wonder why my reference to m.p.excel.misc on the
msnews server was removed and why can I restore it and still see new
posts? I'm more than a little puzzled.
