From: maddie on 1 Sep 2006 15:13 I created a navigation bar in fireworks with pop outs. I saved the menu to a folder called menu. When I create my pages in dreamweaver outside the menu folder dreamweaver asks if I want to update links and I say yes but the pop ups do not work. I should mention that all works within the menu folder, therefore, this tells me it is a linking issue with either the js document of the css document. I have hit a wall on this. Any ideas? Thanks. Cheri

Thanks. Cheri First, you need to properly define your site in Dreamweaver. Second, the pop-up menu must be saved to the root folder of your site rather than in a folder named menu. -- Linda Rathgeber [PVII] **Adobe Community Expert-Fireworks** -------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.projectseven.com Fireworks Newsgroup: news://forums.projectseven.com/fireworks/ CSS Newsgroup: news://forums.projectseven.com/css/ Design Aid Kits:http://www.webdevbiz.com/pwf/index.cfm --------------------------------------------------------------
From: maddie on 1 Sep 2006 16:45 It is an old site and I am just creating a new look so the site is already defined in dreamweaver. I did export the fireworks menu to the root and then reuploaded everything but it is still not working. the url is http://funnix.com/Test2a.htm You will notice the pop ups do not pop up. Thank you!
From: Murray *ACE* on 4 Sep 2006 09:51 I don't recommend anyone EVER use the FW pop-ups. Ever. They are broken in both concept and implementation. There are much better ways to do such things..... Check the uberlink and MacFly tutorials at PVII (http://www.projectseven.com/) and the Navbar tutorial/articles at Thierry's place (http://tjkdesign.com/navbars/) Or to get it done fast, go here - http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/navigation/auto_hide/index.htm -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "maddie" <webforumsuser(a)macromedia.com> wrote in message news:eda64c$ro7$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... > It is an old site and I am just creating a new look so the site is > already > defined in dreamweaver.
