From: Mike on 1 Feb 2008 21:13 I just got an epson stylus cx7450 and I just can't access the printer in yast, it keeps shutting down on me while it is loading. In the terminal I ran yast2 and tried to load the printer function and got this: Command: /sbin/yast2 printer & terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): St9bad_alloc /sbin/yast2: line 207: 30971 Aborted $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" qt -geometry "$Y2_GEOMETRY" $Y2QT_ARGS In the terminal I ran yast and tried to load the printer function and got this at 40% of the database build: *** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0000000001cb4862 *** │Building database of drivers... │ │ /sbin/yast: line 207: 30776 Aborted $ybindir/y2base menu ncurses from what I can tell it is a database issue. and if that is true, how do I get a new one? thanks, Mike -- Running SuSE 10.0 KDE 3.4.2 x86_64
