I have an opportunity to buy a used Frontier Tango 24 DA/AD convertor, but
the power supply is not included.

*I have tried contacting Frontier Designs to see if they still sell the
power supply, but no reply from them.*

Anybody know of an alternate source for these, or for one made to order?

It's not a supply that you can buy a replacement for at Radio Shack, it's
got a 10V 4amp AC output; it's about a two pound line lump. (And that's
about the extent of my electronics expertise, to be honest and forthright.)

Any help would be apprecitated.

TIA

Here's one that might work:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=120-1076

It's got enough current, but it's 12V, which might not be a problem. Since
the Tango accepts an AC input, its doing its own AC-DC conversion and
voltage regulation. That extra 2V would might not be a problem if the heat
dissipation is robust enough. (Is the 10V figure based on the known output
of the original supply, or on the notation on the Tango indicating power
requirements?) Frontier should be able to tell you. However, they should
also be able to help you find a suitable supply, such as telling you the
vendor they were using as their source. Hound them.

Thanks, Dave. Now that I can get into their online store again, I see that
they still sell the original spec power supply for the Tango for cheep.

I'll bookmark your link in case I ever need to replace one of these in the
future.
