Computer cannot get IP address through DHCP If there is a hardware or cable issue, most NICs would up with a 169.254 IP address. I have a similar case where the PC has full network access with a static address but can't get a dynamic IP address - reserved or not. Why couldn't some people see all computers in the domain? Hi, We runs windows 2003 server and XP pro for workstations. unable to browse web after a few minutes via HTTP, other protocols OK I boot up my XPSP2 machine and all is well - I can browse as normal. After a few minutes, I start getting connection timeouts (IE and Firefox).
