Timing out a client side deviceless connection Can anyone tell me if there is a way to time out a deviceless connection on the client side? I understand that the server side will timeout after a default of 15 minutes, but this does not help me. response time (for failure) is slow when accessing share and computer is off if I double click a network share e.g. "My Network Places" dirblah on GREYCOMP and GREYCOMP is off. It takes ages to realise it.. The window even crashes with a "not responding".. Internet connection times out System running XP sp3. Internet is DSL. Everytime my friend connects to the internet it is fine for 10-15 mins and then just stops saying that the connection has timed out. If you restart the computer it does the same again.
