It's not *trying* to be metallic, it *is* metallic. The fascia is
stainless steel and looks pretty good in real life.

Whoops, that was poorly phrased. What I meant to say was that the 17BII
+ was trying to be like the TI by being metallic.

However, since I have never had a 17BII+ or a TI financial calculator
in hand, I obviously wouldn't know that it actually looks nice (off
the computer screen :)

It's called INPUT on the financial calcs
(the extra "ENTER" label on the keyboard
is just to give "=" something to do while in RPN mode :)

For comparison:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B00000JBLQ [original HP17Bii]
http://www.moravia-europe.eu/files/product_items/foto_big/208_new_HP_17BII+.jpg

As you can see, aside from moving the original faceplate labels
to the slanted lower key face, the layouts are identical.

From past experience, however,
one can not count on the calculations to be identical
(the originals sometimes out-class their progeny :)

I like it better than the 35S mainly because of the missing weird
cursor keys.
