I received my tc1100 a few days ago and have not been able to charge
the battery. I bought a new battery and still the same problem. When I
disconnect and reconnect the power supply the battery charging light
comes on and the computer says it's charging, but the battery remains
at 0% After about 15 minutes the charging light goes out and it says
the battery is discharging. Same problem with both batteries. I've
tried lots of different things with no success. Any ideas would be
great, I would hate to have to send it in for repairs and wait 6 weeks
before seeing it again.

Thanks, Jarrett

Better to send it in now while you don't have a lot of important stuff on it
rather later. If I were you, I'd just return it for a full refund. You
don't want a machine that has had problems from the start, even if they say
they "fixed" it.

You *did* let it charge overnight the first time, without unplugging it,
right?

HP repair is pretty fast. They will send you a prepaid shipping box
overnight.

My repair took 3 days door-to-door.

If this is a new system, and a real HP battery, I'd send/take it back.

Thanks for the quick replies. I've decided to take it to an authorized
HP repair store on Monday, luckily it's still under warranty. I forgot
to mention previously that the machine was refurbished.
