New SMS notification on WM 6.0 smartphone

I noticed that on PocketPC new SMS is displayed with a small window with text in it with audible alert. However, on smartphone, I see only new text message count on UI getting incremented. Is this an expected behavior or something is missing. Thanks.

It's now in test phase, so, contact me on saman(at)saman-cz(dot)com, if want to give it a try..
