Country (sadly, my milieu) seems to be the most egregious user of the technology. Listen to Rascal Flatts (live vs. record) or Jo Dee Messina sometime. And she doesn't need it but it's become so much a part of "the sound" everyone is doing it. Country always shoots itself in the foot this way. Country gets to be popular (real country) and they try to get the pop market (check it out sometimes; most country radio sounds like the previous decades' pop music) and end up killing everything that is great about the music. Then a real country singer (like Randy Travis or the "O, Brother" soundtrack) comes along and it gets real popular again and once again they kill it.

From: Martin Schiff on 7 May 2008 15:14 Good news. My father died of complications resulting from colon cancer surgery, so I've been getting a colonoscopy every 5 years. First time there was one polyp, but none since. I also had some diverticulitis. They said avoid nuts, but I said I couldn't give up the Cakewalk forums. -- Martin PS I did it without drugs both times. Hurt a bit, but it was kind of cool watching movies of the inside of my colon.
