From: Jimmy Dean on 22 Feb 2005 01:33 How common is it for wireless network adapters NOT to be able to connect easily with wireless base stations of a different brand? I have a partic problem with an Asus notebook Intel Pro Set 2200 wireless network adapter which won't seem to connect to Buffalo Air Stations, but I guess my chances of finding anyone with this partic combo are about ... thanks for your time jd

It's not all that common, but it's not unheard of, particularly with older hardware. Make sure that you are running a card that is compatible with your base station (ie, are they both A or G or B/G?). If they are, try updating the firmware for both (you may not be able to for your notebook).
