Sorry, I don't know where to go for this information, but, er, where
do I go for SNES programming information? I did both a Google search
and Google category listings, but couldn't find it. I remember seeing
one before, but don't remember where.

The SNES homebrew is more-or-less non-existent, as far as I can tell. Not
that I've looked for quite some time, but the NES & Dreamcast homebrew
scenes are infinitely more popular.

I think I read somewhere that the SNES was a pig to program?!? Perhaps
that's why it never took off?

The SNES had a weak microprocessor, but didn't it have better graphics
than the Genesis? The Genesis had tile graphics. I tried to start to
program it once.

The best selling 16-bit console on a worldwide basis never took off?
You either have a high hurdle for "taking off" ... or you perhaps are
saying that homebrewing the SNES did not take off in a big way?
