My K500i is a bit sick; full of dust and building debris AFAICS, and
the little joystick thingy in the middle has stopped working in one
direction. I therefore want to take off the front of the phone in
order to give it a damned good clean-out, but can't see how to do this.

The back pops off OK, but not sure about the front - I don't want to
force something that's not supposed to move, and end up trashing the
phone totally. Anyone done this?

Thanks
David

Thanks, but sadly not: but IMHO the photos of other phones being
dismantled confirm I'm right to worry about ballsing it up!

There's a movie for the J300 on changing the cover on the SE site - I
wouldn't have thought the K500 would be much different. It's at

Thanks to you too - it does look similar, but AFAICS the K500i doesn't
have a user-removable cover like the J300; ie it will need more than the
matchstick shown in the movie to remove it!
