From: google_groups3 on 23 Sep 2005 07:00 Hi all, I saw that Suse posted a package list for Opensuse. They also boast it contains over 1,500 packages. Now, correct me if i am wrong but i am sure my 9.3 contains just under 5,000 packages. I assume this is to do with licensing restrictions etc. I also saw that they are promoting the retail version of Suse 10. So, my question is this. If I download Opensuse and use it instead of buying Suse 10 retail, what will be the difference? My original understanding was that Suse retail was dead and Opensuse is taking over (just like Fedora did over Redhat). Am I better off waiting for the retail? Thanks.

Or by just adding the java-inst (or whatever it is gount to be called) to your instalation source. If you use it from SUSE it will be causing less problems with some things that might expect things while it is not there. -- houghi Please do not toppost http://houghi.org You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. Perhaps next time you could base your understanding on fact rather than fantasy? -- Robert This information provided free of charge for those willing to accept it.
