From: SteveH on 23 Sep 2005 16:59 I was just tipped off that version 8.50 of Opera for OSX now works with www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk. I can confirm that it does. I think it's a flook and more to do with the Opera devs than those so called jobcentre web designers. It works in Opera 8.5 sure enough but not Firefox yet. I thought they were aiming for Firefox compatibility rather than Opera. -- Andy.

Oh, I'm not going to give even the slightest praise to the idiots that run jobcentreplus, but I'm more than impressed the guys writing Opera have fixed whatever it was that made the site not work before, IYSWIM. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 2.0 TSpark Lusso - Passat 1.8 Turbo SE - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC #

Well Firefox on the PC appears to be the main alternative browser these days. Where does Firefox fail, though? I just had a look aroud the site with Firefox 1.0.2 (in 10.3.9) and everything appeared to work fine. I didn't have the time or the inclination to trawl through the whole site but everything I tried worked well. -- Peter
