I have downloaded and installed Maps Live for Outlook 2003 and when I open a
calendar appointment and click the "Location" button I get the screen that
tells me to install "Windows Live Local for Outlook." No maps at all.

Also, the Start Location field is inactive...I cannot type in it. Please help.

Have you restarted outlook? Did you try detect and repair?
