I use the P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard without any -5V
and it's no problem at all. All USB ports works perfect.
This is my power supply http://www.antec.com/specs/TPII550_spe.html

The -5v was dropped from the ATX12V power supply specifications in, I
believe, 2002.

AFAIK, the -5v was ONLY used for add-on legacy ISA cards.

The -5v is still present on occasional power supplies. If present it is
the white wire going to pin #20 on the connector (either the 20 or 24
pin connectors).

The -12v (pin 14) is also rarely used (? also only ISA cards) and will
eventually be dropped.

Both the -5v and -12v design specification recommendations have been
dropped to +/- 10%.

Peter. I have the same MB and my power supply failed so I thought I
would just hop over to Microcenter and buy a new 500 Watt Antec supply.
It did no have the -5 volt line and did not work. had a hard time
finding anyone that still made a power supply with the -5 line, finally
bought one from, I think it was PC Power and Cooling called the T51ATX
Turbo-Cool. it was not cheap but it works great, that was two years
ago. My Antec was under warranty but I went thru a lot of grief getting
them to send a replacement , lots of calls etc. Did finally get it.
