on the Asus QVL

just to confirm, can you give us you full configuration
4x2GB Dominator DDR2 1066?
core2 quad ? run at what speed?
external graphics cards? make and model?..
make and model of PSU
Case?
disk drives.

Also were the Kingston your tried: the 4x2GB 800Mhz or 1066Mhz?

so you are using Kentfield's quad at stock speed of 2.66Ghz?

wonder if one can run Q9450 12M L2 (2.66Ghz) at 1333 instead of the QX6700
on this board and still get the same 8GB setup at 1066.?

yes Q9450 at $386 is not cheap but is a lot cheaper the extreme version a
few months back and is not so bad when amortized over 4 or 5 years
