From: Katelyn on 7 May 2008 09:17 I am working in an environment where I am creating documents using Visio 2007. The problem is that not many people in the office have Visio, but they need to be able to edit the documents every so often. I want to know if I can embed the Visio 2007 drawing into an Excel 2003 document with limited editing capabilities - such as entering text or inserting shapes/pictures. The goal is for someone with Visio to create the document, embed it in an Excel file, and send it out. The recipient (who does not have Visio) needs to be able to fill in information in that document and save the changes. Is this even possible for someone without Visio? Is there an easy way to do it, or do I need to write a macro? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

There is a free Visio viewer available but you can't edit the file. I think the only way you're going to achieve what you want is to buy Visio licenses. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Katelyn" <Katelyn(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:90B31E6A-245A-4173-B5F6-EA592BD8FBC5(a)microsoft.com... >I am working in an environment where I am creating documents using Visio > 2007.
