One option: Open the file in FW, create your Optimize setting (with no slices, you can only set one format/compression) and go to File > Export. In the slices field, choose Slice Along Guides. There's very little control here, but it will work. Another option: Open the file in FW. Go to View > Guides > Snap to Guides. Use the slice tool to draw your slices and set custom optimization for each slice. You can also name each slice in the Properties inspector, so you control the file name of the exported graphics. -- Jim Babbage - .:Community MX:. & .:Adobe Community Expert:. http://www.communityMX.com/ CommunityMX - Free Resources: http://www.communitymx.com/free.cfm --- .:Adobe Community Expert for Fireworks:. From: abeall on 14 Apr 2008 17:47 You can use this command to auto-slice along guides: http://fireworks.abeall.com/extensions/commands/Guide,%20Grid,%20and%20Slice/Sli ce%20by%20Guides.jsf Save the file to Fireworks/Configuration/Commands/ Then play with File > Export, HTML and Images or CSS Layers, or do a google for SmartCSS.
