FreeBSD Port: gnokii-0.6.28,1
Hi, Just a head up; I wanted to install gnokii and did an "make install clean" in the /usr/ports/comm/gnokii folder. It runs but halts with an error saying it needs intltool 0.36 or newer. Ports has intltool 0.40.6, so i installed that, and then tried the gnokii port again, and then it installed fine :) ... 28 Dec 2009 11:51
[HEADS UP] openal -> openal-soft switch
Hi, the reference implementation of OpenAL, audio/openal, will be replaced with audio/openal-soft as default dependency for ports. While audio/openal is widely used, several sounds cards can only produce crackling sound effects and have limited support for the feature range of OpenAL. Furthermore, its developmen... 26 Dec 2009 18:45
FreeBSD Port: openerp-server-5.0.6_1
Hi I recently installed openerp-server from the ports and I'm very confused, how to set up openerp after "make install". Unfortunately I can't find any basic setup instructions or rc.d Scripts anywhere. Postgres-server is missing but the client is available. Is it not the most important dependency for op... 27 Dec 2009 04:25
Help update audio/mumble to 1.2.0
Hi all, I could use some help updating audio/mumble to version 1.2.0. The current 1.1.8 worked for a while but after upgrading some other ports (Qt related I guess) others can't here me anymore. Upgrading the port to 1.2.0 doesn't help with this problem. I can't even hear others with this version. With the follo... 23 Dec 2009 13:49

distfiles from launchpad.net
I am looking at updating a port that now lives on launchpad.net, but I don't see anything for launchpad.net in bsd.sites.mk Does anyone know anything about how launchpad.net and its mirrors (if any) support downloads? Or can suggest a way to support that site in bsd.sites.mk. Here are some examples of distfil... 23 Dec 2009 13:49
Attempted upgrade of ghostscript8-8.64_7 -> ghostscript-8.70 failed
This was under stable/6; it may be relevant to note that as I have 4 slices configured on my laptop's disk, each of which is bootable (stable/6, stable/7, stable/8, & head), /usr/ports is actually a symlink from each of those slices to a file system that is mountable regardless of which slice is booted. The fetc... 20 Dec 2009 09:13
status of x11-drivers/input-wacom
Hey everyone, Does anyone know of there is someone working on updating the input-wacom driver ? The current port is broken on FreeBSD >= 8 and outdated. It would be a shame if the driver realy dies; without the absolute positioning the pen-tablets are not as usefull as they could be. I'm don't have enough ex... 20 Dec 2009 10:19
mysql-connector-java50 port -- anyone still using it?
Hi, I'm the maintainer of the mysql-connector-java50 port, which was forked off from mysql-connector-java some years ago. As this port is now well behind the current mysql-connector-java at version 5.1.10, and it depends on JDK 1.4 or 1.5, I wonder how much use it is nowadays. Unless I hear otherwise, I'm m... 18 Dec 2009 11:38
