It has nothing to do with supporting or blaming the Chinese government for one thing or another. Not holding the OooCon in Beijing will not make much impression on anyone. Making much noise will be embarrassing, if not straight forwarded bringing difficulties, for our friends in Beijing. OpenOffice.org works on a more free and open world. By being present, learning people, sharing, we can do that. For your information there was six locations proposed to organize this conference : Amsterdam, The Netherlands Beijing, China Bratislava, Slovakia Budapest, Hungary Dundalk, Ireland Orvieto, Italy The community has voted and choose Beijing, China. So who are the most people of the community who object about the location?
