To Peter: What most people object to is your holding your conference in
Beijing in the first place! There are lots of countries you could pick
even now! >:o

The choice for Beijing was made because of the people living and working
there, that are part of our OpenOffice.org community.
It has nothing to do with supporting or blaming the Chinese government
for one thing or another.
Not holding the OooCon in Beijing will not make much impression on
anyone. Making much noise will be embarrassing, if not straight
forwarded bringing difficulties, for our friends in Beijing.
OpenOffice.org works on a more free and open world. By being present,
learning people, sharing, we can do that.

Kindest regards,
Cor

May be you have missed how this location have been choosen? For your
information there was six locations proposed to organize this conference :
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Beijing, China
Bratislava, Slovakia
Budapest, Hungary
Dundalk, Ireland
Orvieto, Italy

The community has voted and choose Beijing, China. So who are the most
people of the community who object about the location?

Kind regards
Sophie

To Sophie and Cor: I cannot believe you people support this decision as
the benefit definitely goes to the Communists and NOT to the OO
community! I am a Vietnam vet and cannot see any benefit to any one
else! You idiots cannot seen beyond the end of your nose as to what is
real and unreal! Because of this I am unsubscribing from the OOo forum!
Communists!
