A post-doctoral research position in the field of speech and audio coding
is open at Orange Labs in Lannion, France.

Job Description:
The work will involve the design and implementation of new algorithms for
speech and audio coding in mobile applications. The successful candidate
will work on the analysis of existing standards (e.g. 3GPP AMR-WB) and the
design of new techniques, such as optimized CELP or MDCT coding, acoustic
bandwidth extension, parametric stereo coding, jitter buffer management.

Required Skills:
- PhD in computer science or electrical engineering
- Experience in signal processing and/or source coding
- Knowledge of classical techniques (e.g. CELP, MDCT, psychoacoustic
models), speech/audio coding standards (3GPP AMR, AMR-WB, AMR-WB+, e-AAC+,
etc.), and VoIP desired
- Extensive experience with C programming, MATLAB is a plus

Salary: around 2300 € per month
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 1 year
